Sam Barrett

Consultant

Sam is a Consultant at Metro Dynamics, undertaking detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis across projects. Sam joined Metro Dynamics after completing a Masters in Economics at the University of Leeds. His dissertation focused on the relationship between renewable energy consumption and economic growth in the UK, which included a literature review on how this was approached by authors investigating the relationship for different countries.

During his undergraduate studies, Sam spent a year on placement at the Office for National Statistics (ONS). In this role, he helped draft a monthly commentary on three different inflation measures (CPIH, PPI and HPI), and provided research support, including analysing different inflation datasets. Since joining Metro Dynamics he has helped to develop an SPF investment plan in Melton, Herefordshire and King’s Lynn & West Norfolk and has provided research and project support in developing a skills demand framework for Surrey County Council.
