At Metro Dynamics, Alex undertakes detailed quantitative and qualitative analysis across projects. Alex joined Metro Dynamics after completing a degree in Economics at the University of Leeds. Throughout his degree, Alex specialised in Economic Development and Labour economics. His dissertation focused on the impact of ageing on the labour market and productivity in Japan and how to enhance growth in an ageing society. During his degree, Alex also completed impact analysis of public sector policies, explored the relationship between health, education and growth and completed a City Profile report on sustainability initiatives in Amsterdam.

Following graduation, Alex worked as an Industry Analyst at a technology consultancy. In this role, he completed in-depth market research and data analysis. His area of specialty was in the circular economy of devices and sustainability in the technology sector. This included assisting in the preparation of an in-depth PowerBI dashboard on the market for second-hand smartphones to be updated quarterly. Some of Alex’s interests include urban economics, infrastructure investment and net zero strategy.
